Privacy Policy

Marriage Mentors, Inc. doing business as Strong Marriages ("Strong Marriages") respects the personal privacy of the users of our Connect Assessment website. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully so that you understand what information we collect through our website, what we do with that information, and how to safeguard the personal information you provide to us. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected online and does not describe the ways in which we may collect or use information obtained offline or through any means other than our Connect Assessment website.

INTERNET PRIVACY POLICY

Your personal privacy is a principal concern to us at Strong Marriages. Our goal in outlining our policy on the collection and use of user’s information is to ensure the highest level of confidentiality and security. When you provide your personal information on this website, we will not give or sell your personal information to any outside company for its use in marketing or solicitation. Your information also assists Strong Marriages in providing better and more targeted services to you. Additionally, internal practices are in place to help protect your privacy by limiting access to and use of your information. At Strong Marriages, we allow our users to maintain control over their personal information while attempting to provide a more interactive online experience. Our intention is to send e-mail only to users who choose to receive such e-mails. At any time, you have the right to decline receiving future communications from Strong Marriages in any manner, including but not limited to information associated with this site, e-mails or newsletters.

HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION

There are three (3) ways in which this website may collect information about you.

1.The Connect Assessment website may request for you to voluntarily provide personal information for the purpose of establishing a better understanding of how your life experiences have impacted your most meaningful relationships, especially your possible future spouse. This information may also be beneficial for purposes such as correspondence, site registration, membership, making a purchase, or online surveys. Information that we ask you to provide may include your name, e-mail address, telephone number, mailing address and birth date, as well as other specific information regarding your life experiences and perspective on marriage in the areas of communication, conflict resolution, sexuality and finances.

2.Like many other websites, the Connect Assessment website may use a standard technology called a "cookie" to collect information about how our website is used. Cookies are small text files on your system used for keeping track of settings or data for a particular website. You may turn them off through your browser or set your browser to notify you before accepting them. We use cookies to store information necessary to provide a service or access into a site. Any information that we may store in cookies is used for internal purposes only.

3.Each time an Connect Assessment website page is requested from your browser, we log your computer's IP address into our log files. Your computer has been pre-assigned a 12-digit number from your Internet Service Provider and may be static or dynamically assigned—this number is the IP address. Strong Marriages uses IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track movements on the site, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to any other personally identifiable information by Strong Marriages.

THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information needed to help provide our services and communicate with users. When quantifying data for research, specific names and addresses are not used. The information collected through the Assessment helps to provide a report to each user.

This information is stored in a highly secured password protected server. Information gathered from the assessment will be seen by Strong Marriages and those whose you explicitly choose to share the information, which could be a minister or pastor, mentor, life coach, counselor, or group leader. No other users entering the Connect Assessment website will be allowed to see your information.

USE AND DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

Strong Marriages does not sell or distribute the name(s), email(s), or contact information of any user to any other individual or group. Users can go online to check and update their profile information. When quantifying data for research, specific names and addresses are not used.

OTHER DISCLOSURES

Third-party Internet sites and services accessible through this website have separate privacy and information collection practices, independent of Strong Marriages. Strong Marriages assumes no responsibility or liability for these independent policies or actions. You are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords, membership ID, or any account information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you are online. If you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return. While we aim to protect your personal information, Strong Marriages cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and we accept no liability for any unintentional disclosure.

While Strong Marriages puts forth its best efforts in adhering to these minimum privacy standards, additional restrictions may be imposed to comply with state and local laws, and other products or services.
